Perl is a high-level programming language
written by Larry Wall, based upon the C programming
language. Perl`s ability to process, file,
and manipulate text make it well suited for
tasks involving quick prototyping, system
utilities, software tools, system management
tasks, database access, graphical programming,
networking, and World Wide Web programming.
